Between seven and eight percent of people will develop PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) in their lifetime. Among military veterans, the rates are higher. It occurs in people who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event such as a terrorist act, war, combat, a natural disaster, a serious accident, rape or other violent personal assault. The telltale signs of PTSD are anxiety, depression, irritability or anger, sleep problems, and sadness.Clinical research has pointed to CBD as a way to mitigate the impact of PTSD and bring relief to those affected. The effectiveness of CBD generally comes down to proper dosing which can and should be done on an individual basis. We recommend starting low and working your way up until you find a dose that works for you. Higher doses may be more appropriate during evenings when feeling sleepy is not a problem, while lower doses are more helpful during daytime hours.
